This room is for people to freely set up RPs of a more novel-ish format. If you want to do just one-shot role-plays, please don't lead another player on into what could be a longer play without letting them know. The primary purpose is to have fun, especially while developing your characters' personalities, relationships, etc.


Basics:
1.) Spam, advertise, or harass members without any just cause and you will be kicked. Return and continue said behavior, and you will be banned. Simple, right?
2.) Don't be a n00b.
3.) Don't idle forever. At least say "BRB" or "AFK." Hell, get creative and say "BRB AFK."

If we discuss a setting and such before role-playing, and it's just a one-shot RP, you don't have to post a character profile first. In order to be promoted, however, I suggest posting one at some point. Be willing to adjust your characters for such RPs.

Freedoms:
1.) You can swear if used artistically. (i.e. if your character has a foul mouth or it enhances the narrative text in someway.)

2.) You can play anything you want, but please be realistic. Example: Say you're playing in the modern setting in the world we know--with the exception that fantasy-type things exist in secret. If your creature is a werewolf, they wouldn't be wandering around a city in the open all casual and such. If your character is human and sees a werewolf wandering around, logically your character would freak out.

3.) Again, with the time thing: if you can be creative and flexible, your character can come from any planet, time, realm, etc. Bear in mind, however, how such a character might coexist in a strange time and place--would they really go around telling everyone in the modern US that they're from planet Gargleboop?

4.) Length of post does not matter. To an extent. Don't make it hard for others with one-worded responses, and don't write a book if you're the only one doing it. QUALITY OVER QUANTITY. If a one-worded response is all you can pull off artistically, if any more would be a burden on the post, then go for it. Try to divine when short posts and long posts are appropriate. Be concise, but remember that the other players can't read your mind for important details.

If you feel that any more details is necessary, add them. Remember, though--our characters don't know what we know, and to keep the RPer as ignorant as possible can add to the reality of the play.

IMPORTANT: I reaaaaaally hate it when people play pre-made or copyrighted characters. Please ask me first, and show me you can play them creatively (and accurately,) and then we'll talk. Be prepared with original characters as back up if you care to join, though.
